Early Childhood Education (ECE) | Woodford County Special Education Association is proud to have a variety of services for young children and families. Early Childhood Special Education, Preschool For All, and Child Find Developmental Screenings are three ways we reach needs in our Woodford County communities. |
Occupational Therapy | The goal of school-based Occupational Therapy (OT) is to optimize a student’s performance and participation in the school environment. A student’s occupation in school is to learn and participate as independently as possible during all parts of the school day. |
Physical Therapy | School based Physical Therapists are members of a multidisciplinary school team promoting motor development and the student’s participation in everyday routines and activities that are a part of his or her academic program. |
Response to Intervention (RtI) | RtI is a multi-tier approach to the early identification and support of students with learning and behavior needs. The RtI process begins with high-quality instruction and universal screening of all children in the general education classroom. |
School Psychologists | Are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community. |
Skill Builders | The WCSEA Skill Builders program is designed to meet very diverse and individual needs of students who demonstrate the need for a highly specialized program in a school setting. |
School Social Work | School Social Workers are trained mental health professionals who can assist with mental health concerns, behavioral concerns, positive behavioral support, academic and classroom support, consultation with teachers, parents and administrators as well as provide individual and group counseling/therapy

Speech Language Pathology |Speech Language Pathologist (SLP's) help students who have language, speech sound, stuttering, or voice problems. If a student is having difficulty communicating, the SLP will assess the student's speech and language skills and decide if the student needs treatment. |
S.T.E.P. |Secondary Transitional Experience Program, is a transition program that prepares students with disabilities for the future. |
