ATLAS Administrators: Kelli Peterson and Lindsay Franklin
The mission of the ATLAS program is to provide educational and behavioral services allowing students to function more independently, engage in meaningful relationships with others and ultimately lead to an improved quality of life.
Goals of ATLAS:
Students will be provided a challenging academic experience so that the child may develop readiness and academic skills commensurate with his/her abilities.
Students will develop self-help, social and communication skills.
Students will develop the ability to modify behaviors and function in an independence manner; including strategies to use in stressful and/or unfamiliar situations.
Students will receive character building, emotional and interpersonal training.
Students will be given repeated practice of skills, across educational settings, in order to achieve generalization of skills.
Students will be integrated into a Least Restrictive Environment when appropriate per the IEP process.
Parents will be involved partners in their child's education to foster a cooperative home/school program.
Students will be active and engaged learners in the environment.
